![]() Bath & Body Works Review: Be Enchanted Triple Moisture Body Cream Review Be Enchanted is berries for sure... Fragrance Notes: Frosted Florals, Sparkling Sugared Pomegranate On cold sniff, I get berries for sure, but I can't make out what berries/fruit I am smelling. It smells very pretty, looks pretty and softens my hands & elbows. I bought a few B&BW body creams and this was one of my favorites. It's a keeper! This is a nice blend, if a little sweet. There is a citrus-tinged floral here that keeps this from just being sweet & fruity. Something warm and feminine but unfortunately B&BW were extremely vague on the actual fragrance notes. What is the "sparkling sugared" part of the pomegranate? What kind of flowers are the "frosted petals?" I can only guess. I would like to know more so I can find more scents like this in the future. Especially since this is listed online as a "retired fragrance", so it could go away at any minute. That would be a shame because I like this. I don't have a lot of fragrances that run this sweet & don't give me a headache. Brittany Spears' Fantasy comes to mind. This is that without the cotton candy/gourmand vanilla notes. If you like sweet berries w/ a lighter, citrus-leaning mystery floral, you will like this. A++ Fragrance A+ Cream A Until Next Time, my Candle Subjects! 💗The Candle Queen ![]() Fine Fragrance Mist Review: It just doesn't last.. Fragrance Notes Top: citrus, iced pomegranate, chilled wildberries, crystallized passionfruit Mid: sheer honeysuckle, frosted floral bouquet, sugared violet, dewfruit, asian pear Base: whipped vanilla, creamy musk, sandalwood (The fragrance notes listed are from the 2011 Perfume Notes via Fragantica.) I was quite the fan when I reviewed the body cream in 2019. I wish I could say the same for the FFM, but the lasting power is abysmal. It doesn't make it past the 1 hour mark on me. The spray doesn't last, nor does it project well. I'm not nose-blind to it either. No one has ever complimented me on this scent, which is usually the sign of a fragrance that doesn't work on me. Why wear something that only lasts an hour? I'm glad I got this spray on sale. Paying full price, for something that lasts less time than a Calgon Body Spray, would have been disappointing to say the least. Now that I got that out of the way, let's get to sniffing. Cold Sniff: Very pretty & feminine, conjuring up pastel colored visions of Princesses in Fairytale Lands. It reminds me of Sunset Glow, but set in springtime, as opposed to late summer. BE is softer on the sweet & heavier on the floral, though the fragrance itself is lighter than SG. This is probably why Sunset Glow has staying power on me and Be Enchanted does not. Both SG and BE share the same whipped vanilla base note. Thankfully, it is missing the plastic-tones found in BBW Whipped Vanilla Chiffon. Beyond the sugary floral notes, hiding in the background to temper the sweetness, is a fresh bite of citrus. It gives off a Clementine Orange vibe, not quite as sweet as a tangerine. The pear IS there, but only just, and i think it'll pair (sic) nicely with the whipped vanilla and musk base notes. On Me (no cream): On my bare arm, the citrus & fruit notes bloom, not the floral. Sadly, it doesn't stay that way. If BE kept smelling like the initial spray, I'd buy the perfume off Ebay. After 10 Mins on my arm, the citrus is gone and the floral notes have taken over. One good thing about this spray is it's honest with you to begin with. The initial cold sniff is accurate, at least, it is on me. After half hour and no outdoor exposure, I had my SO sniff my arm. His exact words. "it's pretty faint". I agree. On Me (with cream): I think I'm reaching the end of my body cream's shelf life. The lotion on it's own carries a little musty/musky-ness that wasn't there in 2019. I can't rate the scent, but I can gauge how long the FFM lasts with the body cream layered under it. The body cream doesn't make too much of a difference as far as that's concerned. Layered or not, the lasting power of this fragrance is short-lived, Conclusion: It's sugared florals and whipped vanilla, with citrus floating off into the abyss 10 minutes after application. That's too bad because it's the citrus notes in this fragrance I love the most. Once a Clinique Happy Girl, always a Clinique Happy Girl, amirite? The Body cream has more of the berries and the fruit. If you are younger than 25, start with the body cream. Sniff the FFM first to make sure it isn't too floral for you, because that is what carries the mid notes best. It's is a light enough spray you could mix with similar noted perfumes. I'm thinking of mixing it with my VS (Pink) Golden Honey body spray because that particular scent pairs beautifully with Sunset Glow. Fragrance B+ (nice but a little basic) Spray D+ (lasting power is non-existent and body cream barely helps) Until Next Time, my Candle Subjects! 💗The Candle Queen
